The Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice Annual Report
Small space, big impact.
In recent years, the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice has transformed from a grassroots startup into a high-impact space of memory, resistance, and healing. Since opening to the public in 2024, the Center has evolved remarkably: our capacity has expanded, we steward our finances carefully, and our programs enliven Pauli Murray's work, life, and legacy. We have managed to grow despite a challenging philanthropic landscape seeing decreased investments in LGBTQIA+ issues and Black-led non-profits, and a political landscape that disinvests in and censors marginalized histories and progressive work. Our impact documents illustrate this reality, demonstrating our efforts to build scale and steward our resources with clarity, confidence, and intention. Explore the documents below to learn more.
