The Pauli Murray Center is partnering with spiritual artist Ifasina Clear for the installation of an ancestral altar on the front steps of Pauli Murray's childhood home. Community members are invited to participate in the installation of the altar on Friday, November 20th at 12 PM. The altar will remain installed and open to the community from 2 PM on Friday until 2 PM on Saturday, November 21. No registration is required and participants do not need to bring anything with them.

What is an ancestral altar?
An ancestral altar is a dedicated sacred space to give honor and reverence to loved ones, ancestors, and spiritual forebears. For our altar, community members will have opportunities to reflect, show reverence to, and connect with Murray as a spiritual forebear.
